Meet the Coaches
Next Edge Hockey was founded by local athletes who have competed at the highest levels of amateur and collegiate hockey and understand what it takes to progress to the next stage of the game. Built on firsthand experience, Next Edge is committed to providing serious players with elite-level instruction, mentorship, and insight that extends beyond standard skill camps.
Jack Spicer - Sacred Heart - NCAA D1
Jack Spicer brings an accomplished and well-rounded hockey background to Next Edge Hockey. Growing up Jack played for Team Maryland, and would later compete at the national, junior, and NCAA Division I levels. He was a key contributor to the 2021–22 USA Hockey U18 National Championship team, earning Most Valuable Player honors during the championship run.
Following his success at the U18 level, Jack played two seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Waterloo Black Hawks from 2022–2024, competing in the 2023 BioSteel All-American Game, an honor reserved for top junior players across the country. He currently competes at the NCAA Division I level with Sacred Heart University, where he continues to develop his game against elite collegiate competition.
Grace Campbell - Boston College NCAA D1
Grace Campbell brings elite goaltending experience and national recognition to Next Edge Hockey. Grace grew up locally playing for Team Maryland, and has a résumé that reflects excellence at the NCAA Division I and National Development levels. During the 2024–25 season, she earned Hockey East Three Stars honors, recognizing her performance among the conference’s Top Athletes. Grace has represented herself at the highest levels of USA Hockey development, earning selection to both the 2025 USA Goalie Development Camp and the 2025 USA National Festival, two of the most competitive and selective programs in the country. Her standout collegiate play was further recognized when she was named NCAA National Goaltender of the Month in November 2025, a prestigious honor highlighting her consistency and impact on a national stage. Grace currently is the Captain for Boston College in her 4th season with the Eagles.
Alex Parker - Head Coach Landon School
Alex Parker has been the Head Varsity Coach at Landon School since 2022. During his time at Landon, he has led the team to a 2025 MAPHL Championship and back-to-back IAC Championships in 2023 and 2024. Prior to Landon, Alex coached at Wootton High School, earning a Maryland State Title berth in 2019. Alongside Wootton, Alex coached at the U14, U16, and U18AA levels for the Montgomery Blue Devils. Alex's MYHA teams earned four consecutive berths to USA Hockey Nationals, where they earned Bronze Medals in 2022 and 2023.
As a goaltender, Alex Parker played overseas in Serbia and Hungary in 2016 and 2017. Prior to playing abroad, Alex graduated from James Madison University, where he helped lead the Dukes to back-to-back conference championships in 2013 and 2014.
Alex plays a major role in the Maryland High School hockey scene. Alex adds coaching expertise and goalie knowledge to the Next Edge Hockey camp.
Pete Sterling - Endicott College NCAA Division III
Pete Sterling currently plays at Endicott College, where he has quickly established himself as one of the top goalies at the NCAA Division 3 Level. During the 2025–26 season, Sterling earned widespread recognition for his standout performance, being named the CNE Goaltender of the Year, CNE Rookie of the Year, and earning a spot on the CNE All-Conference First Team. His exceptional season also led to him being selected as a Joe Concannon Award Semifinalist, an honor given to the most outstanding U.S.-born college hockey player in New England.
Before his collegiate success, Sterling’s talent was recognized at the professional level when he received an invitation to the 2023 Philadelphia Flyers Rookie Development Camp, showcasing his ability among top NHL prospects.
Pete brings elite-level experience, strong technical play, and a high hockey IQ to the Next Edge Goalie Camp, where he is excited to work with young goalies and help them develop their skills both on and off the ice.
Ervie Terwilliger - Albertus Magnus NCAA Division III
Ervie Terwilliger brings proven leadership experience and a deep understanding of player development at the high school, junior, and collegiate levels to Next Edge Hockey. Ervie served as Captain at Team Maryland and at Mount Saint Joseph High School, where he led his team to two league championships.
Ervie advanced to junior hockey, competing with the Maryland Black Bears(NAHL). He was the Captain for the North York Rangers and Cobourg Cougars(OJHL) during the 2024–25 season. Ervie is currently competing at the NCAA Division III level with Albertus Magnus College.
Bella Pomarico- Boston College NCAA Division 1
Bella Pomarico is a current member of the Boston College women’s hockey team and a two-time Hockey East All-Academic Team selection.
In high school at Berwick Academy, she served as a two-time captain and earned Team MVP and Boston Globe All-Scholastic honors in 2023. She was also named to the 2022 NEPSAC Small School First Team and received the 2022 Charles Holt Award, presented to Berwick’s top athlete and strongest leader.
Next Edge is very excited to have you Bella coach and mentor at our camp, her leadership and experience will be a great addition.
Dominic Basse - Utah Grizzles ECHL
Dominic Basse played for Team Maryland and Gonzaga before winning a National Championship at South Kent School. He was then selected 160th overall in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks after appearing in 39 games with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL.
Basse began his collegiate career at Colorado College, where he played in 43 games and posted a .891 save percentage. He later transferred to St. Cloud State University, where he spent the final two seasons of his college career. During that stretch, he recorded a 2.55 goals-against average, a .903 save percentage, earned NCAA Goalie of the Month honors, and totaled six shutouts.
Following college, Basse turned pro and appeared in 17 games between the Utah Grizzlies and Tahoe Knight Monsters, finishing with a 7-6-3 record. He is currently working to return to the ECHL for another season and continue climbing the professional hockey ladder.
